Recruiting Leaflet 1961

Kent and County of London Yeomanry (Sharpshooters) 1961-1967—

In 1961 came the amalgamation of the Kent Yeomanry and the Sharpshooters. \The new Regimental Headquarters was at Bromley. A Squadron was divided between Maidstone and Canterbury. B Squadron remained at Croydon but moved to a much larger TA Centre at Mitcham Road. C Squadron moved to Albany Street,  Regents Park.

The Regiment remained as the reconnaissance regiment for 44th (Home Counties) Infantry Division. They were given more modern equipment including Ferret scout cars and Mk 8 Land Rovers.
