Kent Yeomanry 1947-1961
1947, the Kent Yeomanry were revived as 297 (Kent Yeomanry) LAA (light anti-aircraft) Regiment RA equipped with the Bofors LAA gun.
The Regimental Headquarters was at Bromley Common together with
R (Queen’s Own) Battery.
P (Duke of Connaught’s Own) Battery was at Canterbury
Q (Queen’s Own) Battery was at Maidstone
