Sharpshooters 1956-1961
In 1956, the Regiment was dispersed. RHQ and A Squadron remained at Allitsen Road. B Squadron went to Croydon and C Squadron to Harrow.
The Sharpshooters role was also changed. They lost their tanks and became the reconnaissance regiment for 44th (Home Counties) Infantry Division. They equipped with armoured cars, scout cars and Champs.
