Sharpshooters 1947-1956
The Sharpshooters began to recruit again in 1947 under the command of Lord Cranley.
They were to remain as an armoured regiment with Comet and Cromwell tanks. They formed part of 56th London Armoured Division.
The whole regiment was then based in its prewar headquarters in Allitsen Road, St John’s Wood.
