With the Olympic Games taking place in London in 2012, the squadron was mobilised to provide contingency communications for the duration of the Olympics and Para-Olympics.
Whilst most mobilised personnel stayed at Bexleyheath to man key communications networks, REEBOK detachments were deployed to some of the Olympic sites.
Later in the year, the squadron provided a contingent of soldiers to take part in the annual Remembrance Parade at the Cenotaph in London, the first time the squadron had been invited to do so.
