Our history from 1945 - today

265 Support Squadron marching through Bexleyheath after receiving the Freedom of the Borough in 2010.

In 2004 71st Signal Regiment took delivery of a new satellite communications system known as REEBOK. This is designed to give users immediate messaging facilities via what is effectively an email system.

As a result of TA Rebalancing (TARB) in 2006, 265 and HQ Squadrons were amalgamated to form 265 (KCLY) Support Squadron (Sharpshooters). At the same time the role changed to that of Information Communication Systems (ICS) and logistical support to the emergency services and to the local government in the event of an emergency.

In 2010, 265 Squadron) was greatly honoured to be awarded the Freedom of Bexley in which London borough it is based.
