265 (Kent and County of London Yeomanry) Signal Squadron & HQ (KCLY) Squadron 71st (Yeomanry) Signal Regiment
Overseas training continued into the new millennium which saw the squadrons deploy to Gibraltar and Czech Republic for Annual Camp.
Early on, a number of soldiers from the squadrons were also mobilised for active service in the Balkans. And so began a trend in individual operational deployments that has continued until the present day – Iraq in 2003, Afghanistan from 2007 until 2014
Sadly during this time two former squadron members lost their lives during operations.
