Fellow Officers – Major David Warner

David was pre-war officer who was commissioned from Oxford University Officer Training Corps (OUOTC) in 1924, joining 388 Battery. He was promoted Lieutenant in 1926 and Captain in 1931.

In 1936 he was appointed Officer Commanding 388 Battery shortly before gaining his majority.

During WWII he was mentioned in despatches. He was in Regimental Headquarters with Lushington at Dunkirk and in the Western Desert, and features in Lushington’s book “Yeoman Service”
