The Kent and Sharpshooters Yeomanry exists within the British Army as 2 distinctive squadrons in separate regiments of the Army Reserve.

The Royal Yeomanry is a Light Cavalry Regiment equipped with RWMIK (Land Rover Re-life Weapons Mounted Installation Kit). The unit is roled to provide a strategically deployable light reconnaissance capability which is employable across a wide range of operations from Peace Support Operations through to stabilisation interventions, to enabling roles in major combat operations. The squadron is based at Sharpshooter House, Mitcham Road Barracks Croydon and has a detachment based at Combermere Barracks in Windsor.

265 Sp Sqn (V) provides combat services support to the signal Squadrons and Regimental Headquarters on exercise and on Operations and the Squadron is co-located with regimental headquarters in Bexleyheath. 265 Sp Sqn (V)’s is one of 3 Squadrons that make up for 71st (City of London) Yeomanry Signal Regiment (Volunteers). The Squadron is based at the AR Centre, Watling Street, Bexleyheath.
