Dear Sharpshooter,
Your Management Committee met last month and decided that we should look at holding a BBQ in the summer to commemorate VE Day (8th May) and VJ Day (we did have a Sharpshooter out in the jungle with the Chindits - Phil Moore). We expect that there will be some sort of event on 8th May or that weekend which is also Cavalry Sunday on 11th May. We are presently liaising with the squadrons to try and set a date and in the meantime we are looking at a venue which might be Hever Village Hall which is where the Coronation BBQ was held combined with a visit to the Museum.
