Progress with fund raising

Against our target of £250,000 we have now received £141,000. Many of these are very welcome private donations and some small grants. Within the total the two largest grants so far are £40,000 from Cory Environmental Trust in Britain (an Environmental Body under the Landfill Communities Fund) and £70,000 from the Armed Forces Community Covenant, where we applied in partnership with Sevenoaks District Council.

We will shortly be submitting an application for £100,000 to the Heritage Lottery Fund, and have quite a number of other grant applications in the pipeline.

For any visitors to this website who have not yet heard about the appeal, or who have been wondering if the project will go ahead before committing a donation, you can now be confident that the new museum will go ahead, at least in a basic form. Your new donations will simply help to add the extra touches which will make it truly excellent!
