Honour Guard at The Worshipful Company of Insurers Annual Livery Banquet

Every year C Squadron performs a number of ceremonial duties. With this year being no different.

In April a number of Sharpshooters headed to Mansion house in London for the Worshipful Company of Insurers Annual Livery Banquet with the Lord Mayor of London to act as guard of honour.

A mix of uniforms were worn this year, No 1 Dress (blues) with swords, Ceremonial attire with Lancers and MTP (latest British Army Uniform). Once duties were complete, the Honour Guard were invited to sit down and enjoy a three course meal before heading back to Sharpshooter House.

Another ceremonial duty that the Sharpshooters carry out each year is a guard of honour for the Mayor of Croydon at the Fairfield Halls. Again this duty was performed in a mix of dress.

These events are important to the squadron and very much enjoyed by all! The mixed dress reflects tradition mixed with the very latest army uniform reflecting the important role that the reserve fulfil today.
