Post War
After the war Harry wanted to do something to honour his best friend Ebby.
He became a member of the Royal British Legion and volunteered to collect for the Poppy Appeal.
True to form, Harry hasn’t done things by half.
He has raised over £60,000 from his collecting tins, a fantastic effort for which he received the RBL gold award.
He is still at 97 collecting for the RBL appeal.
SSAFA have been privileged to work with Harry, and provide him some assistance over the last few years.
