Field hospital for mannequins

A record turnout of 11 volunteers made short work of all the annual maintenance tasks at our museum at Hever yesterday,

The work included putting over 50 uniforms from our reserve collection into conservation-grade protective covers, ready for storage. We are very grateful to the National Army Museum for allowing us use of their storage facilities. We also did the usual cleaning of display cases and maintenance of our touch screens.

Further work was done on the replica of the Cromwell tank turret interior, and Graham and Will created a temporary field hospital to re-arm the Weston Jarvis mannequin (aka the officer in our Gallipoli trench exhibit.) Can you spot which is the mannequin in this photo!
