THE ASSOCIATION STANDARD


As everyone knows the SYA decided in November of 2011 to change it's name to recognise the 1961 amalgamation of the 3rd/4th CLY and the Kent Yeomanry and the establishment of the Kent and County of London Yeomanry (Sharpshooters). The Association's name was therefore changed to 'The Kent and Sharpshooters Yeomanry Association'which aligns with the serving squadron title at Croydon and - almost - with that at Bexleyheath. 

One piece of work has been the development of a new standard that all members of the Association can relate to. This work has been completed and a new standard - in the shape of a Guidon - is in course of manufacture. The design has been cleared with the Army's Deputy Inspector of Standards and Guidons and it represents not only the history of our predecessor regiments but also the present serving squadrons. The new standard is shown below:
