The Museum

A view towards the World War 2 area of the museum

The museum displays follow a chronological order from 1794 to the present day.

The timechart along the top of the walls is largely the result of a project by Year 8 students at Bennett Memorial school in Tunbridge Wells.

Noball the female desert fox acts as a cartoon guide for younger visitors.  There are interactive displays of a Gallipoli trench and the interior of a Cromwell tank turret. The Registry area allows you to explore ancestors who may have served in our regiment.

Please explore the touch screens, which contain a lot of extra information, plus 4 quizzes and a visitor survey.

Outside you will find a Saladin armoured car from the 1960s, and a 25 pounder field gun from World War 2.
