Boer War 1899-1902

Battle Honour 1900-02

            South Africa 1900-02

Awarded to

  •   Royal East Kent Mounted Rifles
  •   West Kent Yeomanry (Queen’s Own)
  •   3rd County of London Yeomanry   (Sharpshooters)

In 1900 Yeomanry Regiments were not liable for service overseas and the Regiments as such did not serve in South Africa.

However most Yeomanry Regiments produced volunteers for one or more Imperial Yeomanry Companies. In recognition of the service of these Companies,, the battle honour was awarded to the parent Regiments.
